Art Director and Creative Technologist from Venice, California.
I’m Stephanie Wise, an art director and creative technologist from Venice, California. Stephanie Wise Studio is my practice — design on one side, advertising on the other.
On the advertising side I concept, storyboard, direct, shoot, and edit social-first work for brands. Recent projects include campaign content through Zero Ambition for Blenders Eyewear, as well as creative and production on a national Nike pitch. Through Stephanie Wise Studio I shot event coverage and social edits for Roadie, a spot for Got Milk?, and the World’s Largest Beach Day Clean-up. Before that, campaigns for Beats by Dre and Hard Rock Digital at Space150.
On the design side I work across AR development, graphic design, apparel design, product design, UX/UI, animation and airbrushing. In 2019 I started the apparel line Graveyard Garage to hand-paint clothing — a pair of my trousers ran in British Vogue’s May 2021 issue, styled with Prada and photographed by Craig McDean. Last year I designed an original surf rack and took it from a CNC prototype through a small-batch run. For my last semester at SDSU I studied abroad at Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Italy, and built a VR spatial design thesis around Isola di San Michele.
A few weeks ago I joined an Unreal Engine competition at ASU California Center Broadway and led a team of 6 to create a short film in two days around being an Apocaloptimist.
